T.E.A.M. CBT CLINICIAN
My approach provides you with a guide on your path to wellness. As a TEAM CBT Level 1 clinician, you can be assured of your care by utilizing evidence-based practices found in the cognitive behavioral approach (CBT).
Simply put, our thinking affects our feelings which create behaviors. Through the CBT approach, we seek to understand how our distorted thinking has created emotions and behaviors that keep us in pain and work to reframe those for immediate change. Additionally, I use an integrative approach seeking to understand attachments in your life while also looking into your past with the compassionate understanding that leads to positive transformation.
I am an ACC Credentialed Life Coach, which means I have completed over 100 Hours of in-school coach training, received coach mentoring, and have completed almost 500 hours of client coaching. Additionally, I am in the final stages of my graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with graduation in 2023 and subsequent practice as a LAPC (Licensed Associate Professional Counselor) in the state of Georgia. Additionally, I am SYMBIS certified (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts, Faith-based marriage and pre-marital), and I received level 1 Gottman Method training and additional training to build a robust toolbox for your best growth and success. Finally, in my pursuit of effective techniques, couples are now receiving EFT, emotionally focused therapy based on Dr. Sue Johnson's work.
Currently, I work with individuals 21 and older and couples. Clients that seek my help struggle with anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, trauma, communication and intimacy issues, and more. Often efforts in less distressing issues involve stress management, overcoming shyness, time blocking, public speaking, sadness, self-esteem issues, and more.
